Anti-Inflammatory Coconut Turmeric Tea
Ingredients:
13.50 fl oz Canned Coconut Milk
2 cups Water
2 tsp Turmeric
1 tsp Fresh Ginger, minced
1 tsp Cinnamon
½ tsp Nutmeg
1 pinch Pepper
1 pinch Cayenne Pepper (optional)
1 tbsp Honey or Maple Syrup (optional)
1 Cheese Cloth (optional)
1. Add all of the ingredients to a sauce pan and mix with a wire whisk. Allow the tea to simmer for about 5 minutes.
2. (This step is optional) The spices will settle to the bottom of the pot. You can either drink the tea as is, or filter the tea for a smooth consistency. To filter the tea, place your cheese cloth over a large bowl. Pour the tea over the cheese cloth and gather the corners to gather the remaining spices into a sack and allow the liquid to drain.
3. Serve and Enjoy!
